I bought these shoes because I was having gout problems and all my normal shoes were tight around the big toe area. The fit was good and didn't pinch in the big toe area, allowing the inflammation to return to normal. I have used these shoes generally for every day wear and a couple of times for hill walking back in the summer months.
With wear the upper eyelets on the outer side of each shoe have come away at the rivet points, hence only 3 stars. Overall, I am happy with these shoes, if more robust eyelets were fitted then I would of given 5 stars around.

Highly recommended. Having only had these shoes for one month I cannot comment on how hard wearing they are but otherwise I am very happy. I walk my dogs in all weathers, about 2000 miles per year and these shoes are perfect. Very comfortable and plenty of space for your toes. I have put in an arch-supporting quality in-sole as the in-sole supplied is not the best. Also, I changed the laces as the ones supplied are too long. The shoes feels very well made and are water proof. They are also surprisingly warm. Ordering was easy and the shoes arrived on time. The size is true. The price is reasonable, I would say good value for the quality of shoe. In summary, I am a very happy customer.

Nice shoes which I have just tested in the rain and they kept my feet nice and dry. The shoes are the usual high quality you get from DB and I would recommend them. The only problem I do have is that it would be nice if these shoes were offered with a strap fastening as I find it quite difficult tying up laces due to having arthritis in my hands. A strap would make my life a lot easier.

Quality is very good.
I do a 10k walk each morning, so not sure how long the soles will last. But as the soles are rubber they are much better than the hard plastic ones on a lot of shoes theese days.
One thing I would like to see is UK half sizes. I have awkward feet , one foot is slighty longer than the other.
Overall the shoes are very good.
