The boots are proving to be very good. I've previously used the Odessa leather boots and I have found that the soles on these boots seem to be better and less prone to wear. I use them for dog walks and walk about 5 miles every day and the sole is just starting to show signs of wear after four months. I would recommend these boots to anyone wanting some walking boots.

Be aware - the fit of these boots can vary. I re-measured my feet & bought the same size as Bob shoes I'd previously got from Wider fit. But what came was too small.
The next size up was ok.
However I'd previously bought the same size of the version of these boots without ankle support and they were too big.
So allow time to try, return & re-buy
It's disappointing that the top points are loops rather than posts, making these more of a faff to lace up.
The tread on the soles isn't as deep as other walking boots I've had.

These are the widest walking boots out there, however still a bit tight across the toes for me - I have very hobbity feet. I resolved this by using a shoe stretcher to push out a bit of extra width in the toe box, and not tying the laces through the lowest pair of holes. The thickness of the sole is also way too thin - my last pair of these split across the sole after only a year of moderate use - DB have since changed the sole design, but it is still too thin, you can feel individual stones through it, and the tread is mostly worn off already after only 3 months of moderate use. Poor for such an expensive shoe. I am going to see if I can get a cobbler to put a proper sole on, as the uppers are not bad, especially now I have stretched them.

Very comfortable from day one! My pnly issue was that the leather needs to be saddle soaped or dubbined b4 exposure to wet weather. This is only my opinion but on 1st wear my sock was slightly damp. I have now carried this out and there has been NO further issue

The Colorado 2 has had an extremely beneficial impact on my life. Pleasures that I had been resigned to losing now form a regular part of my life. The depth that exists between the sole and the upper together with the very wide 6V fitting mean that I can once more enjoy walking in the countryside with solid, well-made, waterproof boots. I've worn these for quite a few 5 to 10 mile walks over the past few weeks. These have been the comfiest walking boots I have owned. It took a while to get the pleats of the bellows tongue positioned/folded in a comfortable position so they don't bother the top of my foot, but when that's right, walking for miles becomes a pleasure. A couple of small concerns though: 1. The heel rubber seemed to show initially show excessive wear after only maybe 10 miles of road walking, but the wear seems to have slowed now. 2. I can see a small gap where sole has come away from the leather where the shoe flexes at the ball of my foot during walking, but I'm hoping it's just a superficial problem at the edge, and that it doesn't get any worse.

Thought because they were a bit more expensive and such a good fit that I would not see any were at heels so soon. Its just a little so will have to wait and see. Good boots thou6
