More than pleased with these ‘ Hay ‘ Boots , the style, the look etc .
It’s a bit too soon to rate all about them as I’ve not worn them very much as yet .. I did call you with regard to getting some more removable insoles & was told you don’t provide such extras , so I’ve brought some from High Street cobblers . Not used to wearing this kind of Boot , so they did feel a bit sloppy , extra insoles have improved that . I also mentioned the inside opening zip was really very stiff & it took a little bit of gentle persuasion to get it to work ! It seems fine now ..

I needed wider fitting boots but have found these to be even wider than expected, meaning that my feet move around in them quite a lot. They would be brilliant for anyone with swollen feet due to a medical problem.
The boots are good quality and well made. I'm not so sure about the 'water repelling' description as I wore them on a patch of wet grass when walking our dog, and the suede went instantly really dark as they got wet - they didn't seem to shrug off any water at all - however, my feet remained dry which is the important part.
I feel that compared to other boots they are significantly overpriced.

The suede material is water resistant and the upper is made of a "bag" construction ensuring teh offt remains dry even if the suede gets wet. The suede has not been spayed with a water-repellent spray which we think this reviewer would be referring to.

I LOVE these boots! They are the most comfortable thing I have ever bought even from this company. I was able to walk miles in them from day one. I am not sure if the soles are going to be as hard wearing as those on my Bayeux boots, there are already signs of wear and the soles seem softer.
