I bought these as I thought the supported heel would be better for my feet than the moccasins I usually wear indoors. Liked them so much at first that I bought a second pair whilst they were on offer. Quickly found that I had to remove the decorative bar for adequate ease across instep. After I'd worn them a few times made my feet uncomfortable and were a bit loose. Added heel grips to sort the problem out. Still made my feet hot and uncomfortable and realised that it is because they are made of synthetic materials. All my other shoes from Wider Fit are leather. Now have 2 pairs of unwearable synthetic shoes (both minus the decorative bar and one pair not worn at all). Lesson learned. I will make sure that all future shoe purchases, for either indoors or outdoors, are leather.

I was really pleased with these house shoes but after 4 days I noticed that they were different shades of burgandy, whether this was because the pile lay differently on one, I'm not sure.
I still find them comfortable and would recommend them to friends but the initial pleasure is tarnished somewhat and I am aware of the colour difference even though family tell me it's not too noticeable.

Unfortunately, before realising this, I had discarded the packaging and label and so have given them away to a charity shop. I have two ingrown big toe nails and cannot afford to have my toes bunched up; that is why your 'stretch' type shoes are also no good to me.

I've had the narrower version (4V) of this slipper/shoe a couple of times before and loved them so after a fairly major foot operation when my right foot was very swollen and none of my normal shoes fitted, this even wider version has been wonderful - if slightly lumpy looking! I bought these house shoes for my mother. She is 97 years old and has had a few falls over the last year. The house shoes are an excellent fit and so much safer for her to wear than slippers. I believe many falls experienced by elderly people are due to poorly fitting slippers. They are a lovely colour and she tells me they are very comfortable. It would be great if house shoes could be made in a slightly different style for a change as they are actually very similar to the shoes she wears that we also purchased from you.

These 'house shoes 'are not as cushioned underfoot as regular slippers, but are firmer and offer more support. I have found that when wearing socks, they tend to slip down and bunch under the foot, because of the direction of the pile on the velvet innersole. I have added a thin foam innersole which seems to solve the problem and also makes them softer to wear all day.

I bought these for my mum who is 92 years old. She always has trouble with shoes because many feel too heavy, and the circulation in her feet is very poor. These have a lovely warm fleecy lining, so keep her feet warm, and are good to wear outside as well as indoors. She plans to wear them to a grandson's wedding in October. I only wish they were navy blue which would be more discreet than the bright blue. They would look more like a soft shoe then, whereas I think this bright blue defines them as slippers.
