I purchased the Avalon in a size 6E in the Navy multi colour. I really wanted the pink coloured ones but they had sold out in the size and the fit that I wanted so I tried these instead. Do you know what, I really like them because they are completely different from anything else (colour-wise) that I have purchased - so that was a bonus.
They fit just beautifully, my orthotics go in them ok (sometimes a bit of a squash but once they're in, they're in). Lovely wide shoe and just so comfortable to wear plus they look completely different. I'm well pleased.

The burgundy colour is a nice change from black and they look smarter than trainers for walking around towns. The shoes are comfortable to wear, room for the toes, with no rubbing or blisters anywhere. My only problem is that they are a bit big. I could have done with 1/2 size smaller which I don't think they come in. I did follow the sizing guide and was more worried about them being too small as it was the first time I had ordered from this company. I just put insoles in and that helped. I find that the sizing is rather generous, resulting in the liberal use of chiropodists" felt. I dislike the laces, as they tend not to "grip, and need a double knot. I have substituted my own woven type, but at the price, this is disappointing. I have yet to wear the shoes enough for them to become truly comfortable, as it has taken six months for my original pair to reach that point.
It is unlikely that I will ever purchase shoes from any other supplier, because overall, I am very happy with your shoes.

I bought my first pair of these from a local shop, but as I had outgrown them and the shop was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, I was delighted to be able to buy them direct from the supplier, who hold a wider range of sizes, so I was able to choose the same style but in a larger width. The shoes are comfortable and accommodate my feet whatever width they choose to be on that day. They are also well made and smart so I am always happy to wear them.

I'm very happy to review these shoes. I'm very happy with them this time. Previous pairs have not been quite wide enough (even though the same width), and my toes are damaged so I get a lot of pain so I try and get a lot of space. The heel area is perhaps too wide and my foot slips out. I find this with most of your shoes. I then have to tie them on tight to keep them on (I always buy with fastenings that go up foot to anchor the shoe. (I do find on shoes with Velcro that they are situated in the wrong place, so I have to attach it at an angle across the corresponding piece). I do appreciate the fact that your shoes are substantial and not flimsy.
One thing I would really love is a tiny pot of shoe polish with the colour in it as I have a light blue, and a yellow pair with scuff marks on and I would love to smarten them up.

I buy most of my shoes from wider fit and this style is very comfortable. I really like the colour as it goes well with jeans. My deep insoles fit very well, even at the heel. They are lightweight yet supportive. I have worn them quite a lot already and the wear seems pretty good so far.

I have been looking for boat shoes for a couple of years but could not find a comfortable pair until I purchased Avalon. I made a mistake and ordered 5.5 EE fitting. They were tight and I sent them back. Without any questions asked I received the replacement pair in 5 4E fitting. They are the most comfortable shoes I ever had. The leather is so soft and the workmanship is so good that I have also ordered a pair of sandals for the summer.

I got the right size with my second attempt at measuring myself! The shoes are smart and do not look like "problem feet" footware. The laces are nice and long, it is not easy to tie short laces with arthritic fingers. The only improvement I would suggest is to not stitch down the brown area quite so far as at the moment, so allowing the shoe to open a little more for easier access.
