The polish wears off the toe very easily. The fit was very good from the start, assisted by the padding round the ankle. Unlike the Douglas boots, there was no rubbing round the ankle before they were worn in. They do not seem quite as water resistant as the Douglas boots, but practically, they are perfectly acceptable. I cannot comment on the wear performance as they are too new. The laces seem to be wearing fast where they pass around the metal lugs. They seem to perform quite well in icy conditions. Value for money is ok, especially when they are on offer. I have bought a second pair.

Unfortunately, I have been rather disappointed with these "Ronnie" boots. There is a problem with the Left boot when my orthotic sole is inserted: the toe-box seems to have slightly insufficient depth resulting in discomfort, and a pressure mark on my second toe joint. I have not experienced this problem with the other three pairs of your footware that I have, and use with my bespoke orthoses. IN passing, I would also say that these boots had a very strong "tanning" smell when new - again unlike the other footware I have purchased from you.

They seem to fit well from the start, but I have not worn them outside yet. The sole is less chunky than my previous boots. The padded ankle area will probably take less getting used to. The quality and workmanship seem pretty good.
