Love this shoe as it’s patent leather and looks dressy! Returned as some petals dropped off. Same has happened again with replacement and have asked customer services if I could be sent some petals to try to secure myself as shoes now look odd. Told to return for refund.

After having four hour foot restructure surgery, I wear custom made inner soles and I was recommended to wear DB shoes. I have purchased 5 pair since August and am extremely impressed by firstly the service of the staff, then the choice as well as the quality, fit and performance of all the shoes. As I am very aware of how I look I am also delighted at the style and colors. Fabulous. I feel just as I did before the operation. The cost of these shoes is comparable and in some cases less than quality shoes on the high street, and if they are purchased in the sale they are cost less. Mostly the shoes from Wider Fit are wear and go from Day 1. However, from the little I have worn this pair, I can see they will need breaking in. The issue is the elasticated top, which, while it gives a snug fit, does chafe the sides of the heel. Given time and enough sticking plaster I'm sure they will be serviceable shoe, just not yet.

However I was a little disappointed when I unfortunately scuffed the top of the shoe, it is not a deep scuff but the scuff has revealed a white undercoat mark, which cannot be covered. I would normally expect the same colour through out the shoe. So I am trying to find a matching gold paint to help cover it.

The flower petals along the front 'lift' the shoe, make it attractive and prevent it from being a nondescript pump design. The elastic sides ensure a snug fit and being made to remove the insole makes for a greater depth in the shoe which gives a more comfortable fit. Oh yes!! I whinge on about how DB shoes are, on the whole ,gonky, clumpy and not very attractive-forget fashion and fun. But this one works!! It looks much better on than in the picture and the colour works as well. I was thinking I might even buy another pair in a different colourway as the designers do not always seem to come up with hits ... but decided to wait for Autumn /winter releases as I hoping they might show signs of this new phase of desirable designs that creep in.
